The new 16-session ACTIVATE programme starts this November at Coleridge Community College. The Arts Project is being offered to 22 new year 7 students. Workshops are delivered by professional artists, actors, curators and directors from across Cambridge.
ACTIVATE offers young people the opportunity to learn new creative skills, discover arts and cultural venues across Cambridge, and gain an Arts Award qualification, as well as gaining confidence, exploring other opportunities open to them and developing their roles as young community leaders.
ACTIVATE is a My Cambridge project funded through the Cambridge City Council Sharing Prosperity Fund.
After school workshops are held in the drama studio at Coleridge School every Wednesday during term-times from 3pm–5pm.
All participants will need
to have a permission form
filled in by their
parent or guardian.
"Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible."
All ACTIVATE participants have the opportunity to gain a Bronze Arts Award – a recognised Level One qualification. For more information click here.
